We use the scale of fees recommended by the National Mediation Help-line and based per party on the value of the case.

All charges are exclusive of VAT and any additional significant expenses such as travelling and/or overnight accommodation.

Although as a rule we do not charge for preparation work we do reserve the right to do so, by agreement in advance, if a case is especially complex or involves unusually high volumes of documentation.

A Mediation will require a room large enough for the mediator, the parties and their advisors and separate rooms for the parties and their advisors.  It is the responsibility of the parties to find and pay for such rooms although we may be able to help to find suitable premises.

Alternatively we can provide suitable rooms at a modest cost at our offices.

SCALE OF FEES

Claim of up to £5000 – 1 Hour.

£50 for a mediation of up to one hour.         

Claim of up to Up to £5000 – 2 hours plus.

£100 for a mediation of up to 2 hours; excess hours at £50 per hour or part thereof.

Claim of up to £5001 – £15000.

£250 for a mediation of up to 3 hours; excess hours at £84 per hour or part thereof.

Claim of up to £15,001 – £50,000.

£375 for a mediation of up to 4 hours; excess hours at £93.50 per hour or part thereof.

Claim of up to £50,001 – £100,000.

£450 for a mediation of up to 5 hours; excess hours at £125 per hour or part thereof.

Claim of £100,001 plus.

As agreed with the mediator.

Fees plus VAT are to be paid equally by each Party and before the mediation commences.
